Bring What You Have

DAY 2 OF 5

The Multiplier

It’s important to note that the boy had seven items in his lunch: five loaves and two fish. The number seven is a symbolic number in the Bible meaning perfection or completeness. What the young boy brought was the perfect amount, even though to the natural eye it seemed like very little. What you bring in faith to Jesus, He multiplies. God makes things grow and He’s in charge of the results. Our job is to simply bring what we have with a heart filled with faith and expectation, then God does the rest. Using our gifts and resources to bring God glory will always grow our faith. So, what can you bring? Can you cook? Can you host a Bible study or small group in your home? Can you sing? Bring what you have and watch God multiply it.

About this Plan

Bring What You Have

The famous miracle of Jesus feeding the five thousand is one of the most astounding miracles recorded in the Bible. It’s so astounding that it’s included in all four Gospels. In this story, Jesus shows us how He uses unexpected people, simple acts of faith, and everyday resources to show His glory. In this plan, we see who Jesus is and how He uses ordinary things to bring about extraordinary results in our lives. Join me in this five-day reading plan and see how this story relates to us today.
