Courageous Humility Pt. 1

DAY 21 OF 30

Perhaps we are familiar with the story of Job. The enemy asked if he could take all of Job’s possessions. God allowed it, yet Job did not speak against God. The enemy then asked if he could take his health, convinced if a person’s physical health was taken, they would surely curse God {see Job 1:4, 5}. Forty-one chapters later, one can read of Job’s struggle and some advice from his friends. One will also read the Lord’s response and ultimately Job repenting of where his thoughts had gone, praying for his friends as the Lord instructed and finally being restored with twice as much as before, which is a portion of today’s Scripture.

In Mark, we read of people who encountered the Lord. One man could see another could both hear and speak. Both men had to free-willingly take themselves to Jesus and be willing to allow Him to not only touch them but allow Him to do so in what may seem unconventional ways (Jesus utilized spit both times!). John prayed for us to be healthy in body as we are strong in spirit. The Lord cares about our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and healing.

Are there areas in the body, where you feel all attempts and options have been exhausted and you sense it is time to courageously move towards healing that is found in Jesus? Spiritually? Mentally? Emotionally? Physically?

Prayer: Lord, as we courageously ponder healing and read through the Scripture for today, speak to our hearts on where You desire to heal us. Help us to enter into Your presence, where we may with courage pray and cry out to You, with an expectant heart to enter Your presence and have an encounter with You. In this place, cause our eyes to see again and bring healing, health, and wholeness into our physical bodies. Show us what we can do to facilitate healing, like the men in today’s verses. In this place, help us to hear You and receive what it is we can do to cooperate with You to bring healing in our minds and emotions. Heal our minds and align our thoughts with Your word. Heal our hearts and align our emotions with what YOU say about us. Thank You, Lord for being a God Who heals! In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen!

About this Plan

Courageous Humility Pt. 1

Be strong. Be Alert. Be Courageous. These words are the premise of this 30 day study where you will uncover God's desire for you to call out to Him and trust He will hear. Not only hear, but set you on sure footing, a path He sets before you, for your sake and the sake of those around you. From there you will dig into Scripture around what it means to courageously step into God's presence, how to do so, and what you can expect as a result of going into His presence. Finally, you will be encouraged to step towards the healing Christ offers, both individually, and as the collective Bride of Christ. Each day you will be encouraged to ask questions, seek answers in God and His Word, and identify the step YOU sense the Holy Spirit compelling you to take. Courage accompanies ACTION, and Christ reveals to us where to move next, while the Holy Spirit empowers us to do so!
