Experiencing God At Home For Daily Family Намуна
Adam
Quick Start
When God created Adam, He had so many great plans for him and quite a lot of work for him to do as well. Do you think that God has a purpose for everything He creates? Including you?
Quest
Being the very first man, Adam had a lot to learn about God, hard work, and how to take care of all the things God put under his care. Being the first person ever created was a huge responsibility; he didn’t have a father to explain how to be a husband or father, or how to make tools and grow food. God had planned for Adam to play a very important role in his creation: it was going to be a lot of hard work to accomplish all that God had given Adam to do, but God would be there to guide and help him. Every person is born with amazing potential to know God and to be used by God—if we walk with God as Adam did, He will show us what He has planned for us along the way.
Quiet Family Prayer
Keep in mind God worked for six days before He rested from creating things (Gen. 2:2). Work is a blessing from God because it means we can contribute to our communities and provide for our family’s needs. Pray for people who do not have jobs right now, and thank God for the work he provides for your family to do.
Quiet Times
Younger Kids: Using your own Bible, read the story about Samuel working in the temple. Samuel worked hard and completed his chores everyday for Eli. God is pleased when we do things well, even things that don’t seem important. Ask God to help you be a good and willing worker.
Older Kids: Read Proverbs 21. See how many verses (or proverbs) give helpful wisdom about our attitude towards and our ideas about work. Ask God to show you ways in which you can prepare yourself now for the work He will give you in the future. Ask Him to guide you toward good work habits, developing important skills, and maintaining a good attitude about work.
