Life Experiences: Lessons From the Book of Luke

DAY 6 OF 10

Benefits of being God's children...

Did your parents try to be the best parents to you? They must have treated you well! If we, earthly parents, treat our children special, how much more is our Father God in heaven?

The passages of today’s reading tell something about that matter:

1. Those passages tell us that God is our Father. We were adopted into His family, through Jesus, when He purchased us, by laying His life on the cross 2,000 years ago. That was when we were yet sinners.

2. And because we belong to His family now, He treats us with a very special tender loving care. Parents treat their children with love and provide them with what they need. They do not attend to the children of their neighbors or the children on the street the way they attend to their very own children. God treats us with lavishness and with specialness.

3. As His children should we need anything we only have to ask and He will give. Should there are things that we consider important we have to search for it and God will show it to us. Should we find the doors of opportunities in our lives close, we have to knock and it will be opened.

Isn't being God's child a wonderful privilege?

Prayer for Today: Father of my life, thank You for adopting me into your family, through Jesus, despite of who and what I am. Thank You that You promise when I ask for things that I needed I will receive, when I search for things that are important in life I will find and when I sense that the doors of opportunities for me are close You will open it.

Thank You that I feel special, in Jesus name...
