You Can!Намуна

It seems like every week, there is some new person, fad, or trend blowing up on our timelines. Someone invented a new dance, started a new movement, or did something crazy, hoping to gain lots of attention, money, or fame. It feels like the whole world is in a race to be known by as many people as possible in as short of a time as possible. How does this compare to what we see in Jesus’ life? Scripture tells us that even as more and more people found out who Jesus was, he sought out time to be alone with God. Scripture leads us to believe that this alone time with God is part of what gave Jesus the strength to live the way he did.
If we are seeking to be known by others, without taking time alone to know God, we will miss out on the strength he offers us. Take some time to ask God “What do you want me to know about you today?” and then take some time in stillness and silence to listen for God’s truth to speak to you.
