Praying From the GospelsНамуна

Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’” (Matthew 28:18–20, ESV)
Prayer
Jesus Christ, Savior of the world, You are Lord! Thank You for coming down from heaven, fully God and fully man. You walked among us and took our sins on Your shoulders. You paid the penalty for our sins and rose again in all power and authority.
Then You ascended into heaven, sent Your Holy Spirit to indwell the hearts of all who believe, and You intercede for us from Your heavenly throne, until that day when You come again to judge the living and the dead, and rule and reign forever.
You are above all and beyond all. We worship at Your feet. You rescued us from hell, You cleansed us of all sin, and You won us for heaven. Oh, what a Savior!
The One who made the Garden laid down His life to restore us, so we could join Him in the heavenly garden. We yearn to see You by the river and tree in the new heavens and the new earth. From creation to re-creation, You are the Master Healer.
For all eternity, we will sing Your praises as we gaze upon the glory of God in the face of Christ! Help us this day to live a life that is worthy of Your precious name! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
