Always This or Better: How to Uplevel Your Value and Step Into Your MOREНамуна

One test of your own understanding of your value is whether you will accept the counterfeit offer. The counterfeit is any opportunity the enemy uses to derail you from waiting for God’s best. A counterfeit is defined as ”an illegal imitation of a genuine item”. Even Jesus was tempted to accept the counterfeit offer in Matthew 4, but He overcame the temptation and modeled a blueprint for success we can follow.
You may say, “I would never accept the counterfeit,” but know this: the counterfeit wouldn’t be a counterfeit if it didn’t look like the real thing. It wouldn’t be a counterfeit it didn’t smell like, taste like, and feel like the real thing.
While the counterfeit will always appear to be very close to the real thing, in the end, it never is. You’ll encounter the counterfeit offer with every situation or circumstance you’re waiting on God to bring you into—from your purpose, to relationships, to businesses, and even to marriage or children. It is the wait that warrants the appearance of the counterfeit in your life.
When you’ve been waiting for something, you’re tired, you’re hungry for relief, and you’re ready to step into God’s promises for you. This gap between where you are and where you’re about to be is exactly where the enemy will attempt to thwart God’s plan for you by offering you a counterfeit.
One of the primary reasons it will be tempting to accept the counterfeit is because it will always offer you more than you have right now, without revealing that the offer is actually less than what God has for you. As Pastor Dharius Daniels explains, choosing this type of opportunity or person is appealing initially, but destructive eventually.
Considering whether to accept a counterfeit swiftly tempts you to begin compromising God’s standard for you.
But know this: your compromise is never necessary for God to give you what He has promised. If God has promised to give you exceedingly MORE than you ask or think, why would you be required to compromise God’s standards?
Consider this:
- If God promised He would bring it to you, He is faithful to fulfill His Word. Isaiah 55:11
- When God starts a work in you, He will finish it. Philippians 1:6
- He is going to perform this in His timing. Habakkuk 2:3
You will have to use discernment and discretion to make it past the counterfeit to God’s best for you, and, during Day 4, we’ll examine exactly how Jesus did that.
Today’s Affirmation:
I walk in the way of the righteous, and God is calling my name. As I respond to Him with surrender in my heart, He organizes His perfect will for me. I am watching His salvation and promises come to fruition in my life. My perspective has been enriched! I wait patiently on the Lord, my shelter and my strong tower. I am victorious in Jesus’ name!
Journal Question to Help You Manifest Her Daily:
What is one thing I can do to wait patiently for God to deliver His promise to me?
