Week 2 Reflection Questions:
- What is something God might be calling you to do or not do in your life? How can you, unlike Jonah, be faithful and respond to God with a willing heart and dependence?
- Take some time to think through your actions, thoughts, and patterns. What are some sins that may be hindering your relationship with Jesus and negatively impacting your relationship with others?
- God hears our prayers even in the darkest of times. What do you need to bring before God today? Spend some time honestly praying before the Lord.
- Who in your life needs to hear the truth of the gospel? How can you begin to engage with that person and faithfully pray for him or her?
- List out the characteristics of God that you saw in the book of Jonah. Where have you seen these characteristics on display in your own life and in those around you?
About this Plan
When looking around today, it is easy to wonder when justice will prevail and evil will cease. God’s Word provides a message of hope. Even in the midst of sin and hardship, God never stops pursuing us. When the people of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah continued to turn from God, He sent prophets to call the people back to a relationship with Him. In this four-week devotional study, we’ll dig into the books of the minor prophets to see our pursuing God, who is both faithful and just.
