101 Prayers for Military WivesНамуна
I Will Rejoice
Lord,
Sometimes, I wrestle with discouragement. Plans change without warning, distance tears me from loved ones on holidays, or advancement eludes my husband—again. My thoughts camp with what’s wrong versus the long list of all that’s right. Disappointment is king, or so it seems. But then You remind me of Job and Habakkuk. Of the many who’ve faced trials yet rejoiced in You. And I know it doesn’t have to be this way.
Instead, I will rejoice in You. Remove the heaviness cloaking me, Lord. Place words of celebration on my tongue, a fire that burns away despair. May praise blaze like an inferno, regardless of life’s peaks and valleys. Impress upon my heart daily reminders of Your love and faithfulness. I don’t want to forget or turn a blind eye to Your goodness. From now on, I will rejoice in You.
Amen.
