Confidence in the Gospel // Gospel X - Multiplying the MessageНамуна
Let’s look at the same text again today as we did yesterday.
The father in the story represents God, our Heavenly Father. He gives you the freedom to choose for yourself if you want to stay in His house. He even lets you leave with full hands. If you want to come back, he is not disappointed, sarcastic, or mean, but He is welcoming you back with arms wide open. “God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Pet 3.9). Your Heavenly Father loves you and wants you with him. He is even looking for you while you are gone. He comes and is on the lookout for you and if you are returning, he walks towards you. He, the almighty God, walks towards you to welcome you back home.
We are all prodigal sons and daughters at some point and need to find our way back to Him and our eternal home. It is not only them, others. Every one of us had to make this decision at some point to belong to Jesus Christ. Your commitment to the gospel begins when you make it personal. The gospel starts with you; you need to accept it; I need to accept it. Once, I accept it for myself and experience its beauty and its treasure, I can share it with others. Your commitment to the gospel starts with you. I cannot share convincingly what I have not experienced.
What does the gospel mean to you?
When did you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
How was it for you?
What changed either immediately or over time?

About this Plan
Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. In this reading plan we will explore why is worth to be shared.
