21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: Lectio DivinaНамуна

Preparation: Today, you’ll be reading from Luke 24:28-35. As you enter God’s presence, take some time to breathe and center yourself around Him.
Read: The first step is to read. As you read the passage the first time, pay attention to words or phrases that stick out to you and write those down.
Reflect: This time, reflect on the passage. As you read a second time, be aware of the emotions that rise in you. Identify yourself with a specific character in the story and make a note of that as well.
Respond: Now respond. As you reread the passage, pay attention to the voice of the Lord. What is He saying, and what do you need to say in response?
Rest: Finally, rest in God's presence. Before you move on with your day, take a few minutes to meditate on the passage and the things God is speaking to you.
Pray: Take a moment to pray on your own or use this prayer as a guide:
God, I pray that you would open my eyes to recognize what you’re doing right in front of me. Let my heart burn within me for you as I approach this season with newfound passion and desire. As I continue in this season, draw me closer to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
