Strengthen Your Faith #6 the Heavenly GiftsНамуна
Ask for the gift of healing
Asking for the gift of healing is an act of faith and trust in God, who wants the good of his children.
Jesus speaks to his disciples and promises that those who believe in Him will have special signs accompanying them. They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will heal.
This promise invites us to believe that God can heal illnesses and that He can also do so through our prayers.
Asking for this gift means recognizing that God is our healer and that, through his Spirit, he can still work miracles of healing today.
This gift is not to boast or for personal interest, but to serve others and to show God's love to those who suffer.
When we pray for the gift of healing, we must do so with a humble heart and open to the will of God.
Healing does not always come immediately or in the way we expect, but every prayer is important in the eyes of God.
James encourages us to pray for the sick with faith, having the certainty of divine action. Even though the gift of healing is special, every believer can pray with faith, knowing that God listens.
Let us pray together: “Lord, I ask you for the gift of healing, to be an instrument in your hands, capable of bringing relief and hope to those who suffer.
May every healing be a sign of your power and your love, and may your name be glorified through these works.
Remind me always that it is you who does the work, and that every miracle is a reflection of your goodness that continues to manifest itself in the world.
May your glory shine and bring peace to those who are afflicted. Amen”.
