A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

If we had a time travel machine and went back to the time when Saul was persecuting the church without knowledge of his encounter with Jesus, we could never have imagined what he would become. There is not only impact he would have in bringing the gospel to the Gentiles, but how his words to this day are so widely read, preached, and meditated on.
But the Lord knew Saul and who he would become. Even when it seemed impossible, there was a plan at work. The faithful Christians who would not compromise on their faith, like Stephen, were being woven together into a great tapestry of disciples, which the chief persecutor was about to be added to.
We never know how Jesus might be reaching out to people we would never think could become part of his kingdom. This is the message we have seen repeated again and again in Luke’s gospel, and now, in Acts, we are seeing Jesus still reaching out, changing and transforming lives.
