A Year in Luke/ActsНамуна

Remember from Luke’s gospel how Samaritans would be shown to be accepting of the kingdom? There is the Samaritan who comes back to say thank you to Jesus in Luke 17, and the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. We noted at the time how many Jews despised the Samaritans. Here, we do not see any of the previous hostility from the church's members towards Samaria and its inhabitants. Not only does Philip go with the gospel, but Peter and John are sent to ensure converts also receive the Holy Spirit.
