God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Намуна

1 & 2 Peter – Day 5
When Jesus ascended into Heaven, an angel told those watching that Jesus would return in the same way He left. Throughout the New Testament, we are reminded of the promised Second Coming of Christ.
For almost two thousand years, Christians have argued over when and how this will happen, but none of us know the day or the hour. In this way, we must live in the tension that Jesus’s Return could be tomorrow or in another thousand years. We must keep our eyes on our Eternal Hope as we continue to live for Christ in our time here on Earth.
Regardless of whether or not the Second Coming occurs during our lifetime, our Earthly lives are but a short precursor to Eternity. Our Ultimate Hope is in the Truth that Jesus will return to set all things right!
