The Good News Delivered to Shepherds
When Jesus was born, God sent an angel to tell shepherds—ordinary people working in the fields—the amazing news. It’s incredible to think that God didn’t choose kings, religious leaders, or people with power to be the first to hear about Jesus. Instead, He chose humble shepherds, showing that Jesus came for everyone, no matter their status or background. By sharing this news with everyday people, God was saying that His love and grace are for all of us, whether we’re rich or poor, known or unknown. The shepherds remind us that God values each of us and invites us to be part of His story. His love reaches beyond social barriers, touching every person who’s open to receiving it. Just like the shepherds, we don’t have to be “important” in the world’s eyes for God to see us as important. This message brings joy and hope to all who hear it—Jesus came for everyone, including us.
