Strengthen Your Faith #4 a New Life

DAY 4 OF 8

A Heavenly Promise

Jesus speaks to His disciples of an extraordinary promise: the sending of the Holy Spirit.

Before facing His death, Jesus comforts His followers by assuring them that He will not leave them alone, but that, by asking in His name, they will receive everything they need.

The most profound part of this promise, however, is the sending of an "other Counselor,” the Holy Spirit, who will be with them forever.

Jesus does not simply say that the Holy Spirit will be with believers, but that He will live within them.

This interior presence is revolutionary: it is no longer a question of following God from a distance, but of having His very presence within oneself.

The Holy Spirit becomes a guide, a comfort and an inexhaustible source of spiritual strength and living presence.

He is the one who enlightens the mind, teaches the truth and brings consolation in times of difficulty.

When Jesus says: "I will not leave you orphans,“ He promises a continuous and living relationship through the Holy Spirit.

The new life that the Holy Spirit offers is an interior transformation: believers are no longer slaves to sin, but can live a full life, free and guided by the will of God.

It is a life characterized by peace, joy and love that surpass earthly circumstances.

The Holy Spirit is not just a passive presence, but an active and life-giving one.

He gives us strength in weakness, enables us to love as Christ loved, and helps us to do the will of the Father.

With His presence within us, we can experience a new life, full of meaning and spiritual power, which reflects the very life of Jesus.
