Walking By Faith: 2 Corinthians 5:7
We see a contrast throughout God’s Word and in our Christian lives between things that are seen and things that are unseen. The things that are seen—things of this material world—are temporal. But faith takes us into the realm of things not seen, things you cannot know with your natural senses, things that are eternal.
Most people spend the majority of their lives in the realm of the natural. But as followers of Christ, we’re called to walk by faith—to trust the heart and hand of God, even when we can’t see where He’s leading. It’s walking by faith that will help us endure when the storms assail us, because we’re building our lives on the Rock of Jesus Christ.
When we walk by faith, we don’t live for the “here and now,” but for the “there and then.” When we face affliction, we see it has eternal purpose. Walking by faith helps us keep our eyes on the finish line, where one day we will see our Savior face to face and our faith will be rewarded.
