How Does God Heal Us?Намуна

Some of the ways people in biblical times came to know and believe in Jesus was through the way he healed those with seemingly hopeless illnesses. From blindness to lameness, leprosy to paralysis, seizures and even death, a word or touch from Jesus could heal it all.
Matthew 8:1-17 shares how Jesus healed a leper, a paralyzed servant, and many more, including Peter’s mother-in-law who was stricken with fever and some who were demon possessed. Luke 8:26-56 demonstrates Jesus healing a man who had been taken over by many demons, a woman with chronic bleeding, and a dying child. In Matthew 9:27-34, Jesus heals two blind men and a demon-possessed man who was mute due to his possession. Even when he was about to be arrested by Roman guards and a slave was injured, Jesus took a moment to heal the man’s wound before he was taken away. (Luke 22:49-51)
Jesus may not still physically walk on this earth, but he’s still with us, and we can still ask him for healing.
In what ways do you or a loved one need physical healing today? Remember that healing doesn’t always look the way we expect it, but God always responds to our prayers for healing. Continue this daily study to learn about the other ways God heals.
Prayer: God, I come to you to boldly ask for your healing touch, though I understand not all illness is taken away in this life. I pray for your patience and strength during this time and for your physician’s touch to bring restored health.
