21-Day Fast & Prayer Into & Through Your Next SeasonНамуна
I want to share a story with you. The people of Judah who were in exile for a really long time, like 70 years, got a new king named Cyrus. Some think that Cyrus might have known about a prophecy in Isaiah, where his name was mentioned way before he became king. It said that he would be the shepherd to fulfill God's plan of rebuilding the temple even though the God of the Israelites wasn’t his god..
I can't say for sure if King Cyrus knew about that prophecy or not. But what I do know is this: we are fearfully and wonderfully made! And guess what? We were made for a purpose. God has a plan for each and every one of us.
God’s word says the Lord will bring His plan to life in us because His love is forever, and He will never give up on the work He started in us.
So what's your purpose? Only God knows for sure. Sometimes, it's the dreams He's placed inside your heart. Maybe He's calling you to bring healing to others because you've been healed. Or perhaps He's calling you to be a peacemaker, to bring people together or just share the good news of Jesus.
No matter what, we're all part of the same team of building God's temple, in our own special way, no matter where we are right now. We are called to be a shining light and show the love of Jesus to the world.
But I get it, sometimes it can be frustrating not knowing exactly what our role is. So today, let's pray that God will help you discover your part in His kingdom through His word, speak it over your life and reclaim all that has been taken from you, especially if that is your ability to hope.
Prayer: Dear God, help me to identify the dreams in my life that I've laid down. Give me the wisdom and discernment to rebuild them according to Your word and purpose. Let Your Word be a constant reminder and encouragement. Show me the Scriptures to speak over my life each day. Thank You for the promise that You can restore what the enemy has taken. I trust in Your plan and provision. In Jesus' name, Amen.
