Consecration and Cleansing
Key Scripture: Isaiah 6:5-7
Isaiah's vision of God’s holiness brought him to a place of deep repentance. He recognized his sinfulness and the sinfulness of his people. But God, in His mercy, didn’t leave Isaiah in despair. Instead, He cleansed him with a live coal from the altar, removing his guilt and atoning for his sin.
Consecration begins with a recognition of God’s holiness and our own unworthiness. Yet, God’s response to our sin is not to leave us in it but to cleanse us and set us apart for His purposes. Just as Isaiah was touched by the live coal, God desires to purify our hearts so that we can be used for His glory.
Today, ask God to cleanse you from anything that separates you from Him. Trust in His grace to purify your heart and prepare you for the work He has for you.
Prayer: Lord, I acknowledge my need for Your cleansing power. I confess my sins before You and ask that You purify my heart. Thank You for Your grace that removes my guilt and makes me whole. Help me to walk in Your ways and to live a life that is pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
