Jesus of Miracles
One morning, Jesus appeared to me. It was an awesome experience. I knew He was alive and that He was the same as He was in Bible days. From that moment, Jesus became Lord in my life.
Shortly after that experience, a man with a powerful miracle ministry came to Portland, Oregon, where we had become the pastors of a church. As we witnessed the miracles wrought by Christ through that man, we recognized that God would do the same miracles through anyone who proclaimed His promises and dared to act upon His Word. We determined to re-read the Gospels as though we had never read them before. We resolved to do what God told us to do and to expect Him to do what He said He would do.
As God began to manifest His miracles in our ministry across America, the unevangelized masses of other nations again seemed to cry to us for hope in God. With Christ’s miraculous power in evidence—healing the sick and casting out devils—we knew the people in non-Christian nations would believe in Christ by the thousands.
Our family has since proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ in over a hundred nations. Non-productive, obsolete “missionary” methods of colonial epochs have never again been permitted to impede gospel ministry. Instead, we have done, in nation after nation, what God impressed us to do in India. We hired interpreters to translate our preaching, line by line, into the language of the people. We have proclaimed Christ and His miracle gospel to many millions, influencing them to embrace Him as their Lord and Savior.
The results have been overwhelming: thousands have accepted Christ. Our ministry was gloriously rejuvenated. As we have preached His gospel, we have seen Jesus confirm it, just as He confirmed the witness of His followers after His resurrection (Mark 16:20).
Every meeting we have conducted has been triumphant—from Estonia to El Salvador, from Nigeria to New Guinea, from Asia to Austria, and more. People everywhere have responded. We constructed our platforms out on large fields or parks or in stadiums—out where people of all religions can assemble freely. We have kept our message simple: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We have told the multitudes what happened to those who came to Jesus Christ in Bible days. Our message has been: Come to Him like they came, repent like they repented, pray like they prayed, believe in Him as they did, and you will receive what they received. Many tens of thousands of needy and lonely people have been saved and healed as a result because the Jesus of Miracles has never changed.
Lord, You are the Jesus of miracles, the Messiah who ministered to multitudes. You have not changed. In lovingkindness You forgave me and healed me. Let me share this with others, that they might experience your mercy and grace.
