Knock Yourself Out

DAY 3 OF 3

Day 3: What Does It Mean For Us?

Number one this is a good warning for us. Although we are not in this boat, we have the potential to be if we decide to start disobeying God repeatedly without repentance. We should always examine ourselves for any wrong doing, and be quick to agree with God. None of us are perfect, but thank God He has plenty of grace and forgiveness to cover us all!

Secondly, this should help us during those times when we witness to someone but they are unreceptive. We should try to witness to as many people as we can. There will be those who accept it, stay strong in the faith, and produce fruit. There will be those who hear it but get caught up in the worries of this life. There will be those who accept it at first, but fall away as soon as trouble comes. And there will be those where it takes no root at all. People who have a reprobate mind fall into the last category.

Don’t be discouraged if you share with someone and they don’t receive it. It doesn’t mean there was something wrong with your witness. It could just be they fall into this category. In which case there isn’t much you can do.

Only God knows what’s in each person’s heart. So in most cases it will be hard for us to know if someone has a reprobate mind or not. Always stay prayerful and listen for the Holy Spirit to guide you. Then you will know who to witness to and who to leave alone.

I hope this plan has helped you grow closer to God. For more Bible plans like this, and the Do Not Diminish podcast where we discuss deep Christian topics, checkout the YouTube link and others at https://linktr.ee/jaygrubz

This devotional will explore what it looks like when a hardened heart refuses God’s welcome so many times that He stops asking.
