The New Robe - Peter Raises Tabitha

When some men compliment a neighbor’s new robe, he tells them how he received it through a wonderful story about the apostle Peter and a sick woman named Tabitha.

Right before this story, Peter also heals a lame man named Aeneas. Everyone in the nearby towns saw Aeneas and believed in Jesus.

Peter healed many people in the name of Jesus. Because of this, people understood these healings were through the Lord’s power instead of Peter’s.

2. What do you think her family or the people in Joppa thought about seeing Tabitha alive again? Would this miracle help her neighbors believe Jesus was God’s son?
3. How do you think people like Peter could clarify that they were using the healing power of Jesus and not their own?
