Adventure to Live

Desire and risk require that we receive validation. Our calling is tied to our Father’s validation of our masculine heart. Conversely, our invalidation is tied to our brokenness and our wounds.

We desperately need validation. Our Father will give us opportunities, small at first, to allow us to mature and receive the validation of who we are in Him. He will allow us to be equipped in situations that require us to leave the posing behind and squash the accusations of the enemy. An example would be how we react in a stressful situation now versus as the wounded poser. Imagine you are on a family vacation headed down the road loaded with luggage, rambunctious kiddos, and hours in that confined space of your vehicle. The steering starts to pull to the left and you know what is happening, the tire is going flat. You pull off to the shoulder and assess the situation. Yep, flat tire. You instinctively open the back to retrieve the spare tire and jack, only to realize that they are under all the luggage. Time to unpack!

Now that you have this scenario visualized, how does it play out? What would the wounded man do? Yell? Kick the tire? Spew some colorful language? Become angry? The answer is probably yes to all the above because that is our brokenness acting out. The key is to change your perspective on God’s purpose. This scenario gives Him and you the opportunity to engage in an adventure together. You are validated in the fact that you can take care of your family and change the flat. You can set the example for your children that things happen outside of our control. It is how we react that testifies to who we as men really are.

We allow ourselves to be initiated into the next adventure/battle with a new perspective, strength, confidence, and desire to take a good risk that brings validation to our true calling. We have to choose to walk with God and receive His perfect validation of our masculine heart. He wants us to mature into who He knows we are.

He wants you to know you have what it takes. You are fierce. You are powerful. You are His son.
