Sit, Walk, Stand - a 40 Day Walk Through of EphesiansНамуна
Eph 2:10
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
The word for “handiwork” is POEM. You’re not an accident, mistake, or random result of evolution. You are handmade. You’re crafted by Creator. The psalmist wrote:
Psalms 139:13-16
For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from You
When I was made in the secret place,
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.
Paul had just explained in the previous day's verses that we are not saved by works, and here he explains that while we might not be saved BY good works, we are saved FOR good works.
We are not just part of history. We are walking out His story.
There are good deeds laid out for us to walk in. I pray we will all walk in trust and obedience so that we recognise them and act on them.
Romans 12:1-2 MSG
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you and develops well-formed maturity in you.

About this Plan
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? The Christian walk can make you feel like striving when really everything has been done for you by Jesus, but there is still so much to be done. This is the tension every Christian walks in. The tension between the NOW & the NOT-YET. We are SEATED with Jesus, now WALK IT OUT, so that you may STAND.
