Surrender 101Намуна
When we surrender to the Lord, we are positioned to receive the benefits of God’s provision and peace. This exchange happens when your heart is quiet and your mind is void of worries. Then, as we expect God to act, we experience His protection. Peace, provisions, and promises come to life. But how do we truly let go of those desires or our need for control?
One of the most powerful tools we have to surrender our worries is prayer. By entrusting our concerns to God, we discover comfort and strength in relinquishing control. In addition, incorporating rest, relaxation, journaling, and seeking support from loved ones or a therapist can further aid in surrendering worries. Praying with a trusted friend or mentor can also be a source of solace and guidance. Remember, it's not only acceptable but also beneficial to seek help and take steps toward managing and releasing worries in a healthy manner.
The will that is surrendered to God is not extinguished; it is simply released to the Lord. Those who earnestly seek Him will find Him with all their hearts. (Jeremiah 29:13) Surrendered faith is a profound trust and belief in God alone. It involves acknowledging His divine plan, a sacred blueprint where we let go of control and submit to His higher will. This surrender can only be achieved by releasing personal desires, fears, and doubts, and relying entirely on the guidance and providence of the Holy Spirit. Surrendered faith often brings a deep sense of peace, acceptance, and the act of surrendering one's worries and challenges to God, who is all-knowing, all-seeing, and all-powerful.
Surrendering to God is a unique act of personal commitment, reliance on His wisdom, and devotion to Him. It includes a relationship of faith, humility, and trust that transcends human understanding. By being open to God’s transformation, surrender allows Him to shape us into better versions of ourselves. This can come from insights, intuition, or external signs that help us navigate life's challenges and decisions. It can also provide inner strength, especially during difficult times. By placing our trust in Him, we draw upon His power and grace to overcome obstacles and find peace amidst turmoil.
Ultimately, surrendering to God is often seen as a fundamental aspect of spiritual growth and a pathway to experiencing His love, grace, and transformative power.
