In the ShadowsНамуна
Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
What does it tell us we should do when we feel drawn to look down on others?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
- Why do you think God wanted us to hear these words?
- When you read this passage, what kind of hypocrisy comes to mind? What examples do you see of people blindly judging others?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
- Have you ever judged someone and later realized you were the one who was wrong? What happened?
- Who can be honest with you about your blind spots? What's a step you can take to create space for that kind of candor?
- How can increasing your self-awareness improve your relationship with others? How can you become more aware of your attitudes and actions today?
- How can this verse help you approach the situation with love when you see someone close to you being hypercritical?
- What would it look like for you to have faith that God is still at work in others, even if you don't see it?

About this Plan
As we grow and experience more life, we might find the shadows of doubt or questions creeping towards us. Rather than running from the shadows, we can look to God to cast some light on the situation. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at stories that draw us closer to God's light whenever we feel lost in the shadows.
