Mark - Living in the Word

DAY 44 OF 55

VERSE OF THE DAY:

“Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.”

- Mark 14:6

REFLECTION:

  • Those who scolded had skewed priorities.
  • Worship is NEVER wasted.
  • Caring for the NEEDY matters.
  • It flows OUT of your love for God.
  • It can demonstrate devotion.
  • Preparing your HEART to receive what Jesus did FOR YOU is paramount.

JOURNAL POINTS:

  • Have you ever judged the way someone else worships?
  • Have you ever thought of someone’s worship as wasteful? Ask the Lord to search your heart on this.
  • Are you giving ENOUGH in worship?

About this Plan

Mark - Living in the Word

The Gospel of Mark is considered by some to be the most important of the “synoptic” gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), mainly because it was the earliest written. With brevity and urgency, John Mark describes the birth, life, work and teachings of Jesus Christ. Highlighted with action and vivid storytelling, this Gospel underscores the transformative power of faith and encourages us to remain steadfast in our commitment to Christ.
