The Peace of ChristНамуна
DAY 1 - THE REIGNING PEACE OF CHRIST
The Bible encourages us to be at peace in spiritual warfare, in our Christian life, in our Christian walk; to seek peace in our hearts. But we can quickly realize that when difficulties arise in our lives, it's sometimes hard to be at peace! It's hard to let Christ's peace reign in our hearts! And we often expect God's peace to manifest itself as tranquility: that is, we won't be disturbed at all...
We think that's what peace is...
So it's important to look at the Scriptures to find out exactly what God means when He asks us to be at peace. Let's read Colossians 3:15: "Let the peace of Christ, to which you were called as one body, rule in your hearts.
This is the apostle Paul's encouragement to the church. The thought I have about this verse is this: peace reigns so much that nothing else can take its place. I can go through difficulties at work, in my personal life, in my family life, in my relationships, and yet tell myself that God's peace is there because I'm not affected by anything.
When God's peace reigns in our hearts, external circumstances lose their influence on my inner being.
Yet the reality is that it's very often different in what we experience. We are on earth, we have emotions that can get the better of us, we can be affected by certain situations, certain words!
In the rest of this plan, we'll go a little deeper into the meaning of the word "reign".
Let's pray together:
Lord, thank You for Your peace! I want to let Your peace reign in my heart. I accept your word today and declare that Your peace makes a difference in my heart. Come reign in me in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen.

About this Plan
The peace of Christ is what we should be looking for in difficult situations. But what does this mean in concrete terms? I simply want to answer this question biblically, and encourage you to grow in this peace.
