Peace in Parenting

DAY 3 OF 3

Start children off in the way they should go, and when they grow older, they will not depart. Through hard moments, speak peace into your circumstance and remember that we must still remember how much God loves them and how much God loves you. God loves you so much that He has given you a direct line to Him through prayer and wants you to be with you through the hardest journey of life. God knows how hard parenting is because He had to give the ultimate sacrifice of his child to show grace to humanity. Therefore, God has earned all of the street credit needed to hear you, listen to you, and have the wisdom to guide you through each season, big or small. This season has created a culture of forgiveness and not offensiveness. If you are forgiving, you can't hold offensiveness in your heart. This is key to true peace and biblical application when parenting. I can't imagine a God who wore a spirit of offense every time we messed up because then there would be no God! He is forgiveness, therefore, if we are modeling His parenting style we must also forgive. This simple act will promote a peaceful home that produces the right hearts and models Christ-like behavior without judgment, condemnation, or offense.

About this Plan

Peace in Parenting

Parenting can be so tough! Thankfully, our Lord Jesus is the best representation of what a parent looks like through love, patience, and self-control, even when we do not deserve it. Dr. Marshall walks through scripture that reminds us to parent with love and alongside The Holy Spirit as we navigate this journey with the Bible as our roadmap.
