Plug Into God

DAY 12 OF 21

Don’t Worry

This scripture confirms that God doesn't want us to worry about anything but to pray about everything. He is your friend, and He wants you to talk to Him about those things that may be interrupting your peace or constantly on your mind. God always desires the best for our lives, and He will grant us peace when we present our requests to Him.

Sometimes people overlook the secret password (mentioned in this passage) that gets God's attention: presenting our requests "with thanksgiving." Thanksgiving allows us to reflect on the things that God has already done. When we reflect, our confidence is built that if God came through before, He will come through again. That is the ultimate reason He implores us not to be anxious. He is with us, and there is peace in knowing that if God came through before, which He has, then we can take a chill pill because He will come through again.

Each day, we should focus our hearts and minds on Christ Jesus. There is no need to worry—let's make our requests known to Him with a thankful heart and a confident mind, for He is faithful to perform.

Reflection

  1. Take a moment to reflect on the past week and jot down any worries that may have disrupted your peace.
  2. Present these worries to God. Ask Him to guide your heart and mind, specifically addressing the concern you wrote down.
  3. Express gratitude to God and begin to praise Him, trusting that peace has been granted over these areas of concern.
