When Everything Seems DifficultНамуна
Trusting Your Instruments
We've explored the importance of trusting God in the different seasons of life, but how does this work in practice?
To put it simply, imagine yourself as the pilot of a fighter plane. When all goes well, the plane flies smoothly, the pilot has a clear view of the sky and the ground, flying parallel to the earth. However, in more complex situations, such as when looping or trying to avoid the enemy, the pilot can no longer rely solely on their sensations. In the presence of intense emotions, they have to rely on the on-board instruments, disregarding any emotions that might lead them to act contrary to the indications of the aircraft's instruments.
In the difficult moments of our lives, this is a season of surrender for us. We must learn to trust the Holy Spirit who lives in us, the Word of God, the divine instruments to know where to take the first step. When our personal perceptions and feelings deceive us, the Word of God remains constant.
Prayer:
Lord, in moments of uncertainty, I choose to trust you. Enlighten my steps and guide me according to your will. I surrender myself to you. In Jesus' name, amen.
