BREAKTHROUGH IN KNOWING MY PURPOSE
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
In the journey of life, we often find ourselves seeking purpose and meaning. We yearn for a breakthrough, a revelation that will illuminate the path we are meant to walk. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust the Lord with all our hearts and submit to Him in all our ways. Through this trust and submission, we can experience a breakthrough in understanding our purpose.
Trusting in the Lord:
Trusting in the Lord requires surrendering our own understanding. It means acknowledging that God's ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Sometimes, we may try to figure out our purpose through our reasoning and plans, but true breakthrough comes when we trust God's wisdom and guidance. In surrendering our plans to His will, we find the clarity we seek.
Leaning not on our own understanding:
Our human understanding is limited, but God's understanding is infinite. When we lean on our understanding alone, we may become frustrated or confused about our purpose. The breakthrough comes when we humbly acknowledge our limitations and seek God's guidance through prayer and studying His Word.
Submitting to God in all our ways:
Purpose is not just about our career or specific tasks; it encompasses every aspect of our lives. Submitting to God in all our ways means inviting Him into our relationships, decisions, and daily activities. As we align ourselves with God's will, our purpose becomes intertwined with His plan for our lives. Breakthrough comes when we surrender every area of our lives to Him.
He will make your paths straight:
The promise in Proverbs 3:6 is that when we trust, lean not on our understanding, and submit to God, He will make our paths straight. The breakthrough in knowing our purpose is not just a one-time event but a continuous journey of seeking God's guidance and following His leading. In His faithfulness, God will guide us step by step, unveiling His purpose for us as we walk in obedience.
As you seek breakthrough in knowing your purpose, trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding, and submit to Him in all your ways. In doing so, you will experience the joy of walking in the purpose and plan that God has uniquely designed for you.
