THE LAW OF PURPOSE IN MARRIAGE (2)
Marriage was not made for sex. Sex is only a benefit of marriage, not its sole purpose. Imagine for a minute what would happen if one of the partners in a marriage had something happen to him or her that makes it impossible to have sex anymore. Should they get divorced? Until you demystify sex, you will keep getting into trouble because of it. Some people say, “Well, the reason for marriage is to have children,” and they go on to have 15 children. Some men have 50 children scattered in different countries they have travelled to and cannot identify all the children. It’s such a shame when the children have to mention their mother’s name to introduce themselves to their father. What a pity!
Why did God bring a man and his wife together? Why did God plan that marriage should be monogamous? When it comes to producing children in the right marriage, God is looking for a seed (Mal.2:15).
Of all the laws of marriage, I believe that the law of purpose is the most pivotal. This is because before you start praying, you need to know why you are praying; you need to be clear about what you are looking for. When I was praying for a life partner like every other young man, I wanted to have a beautiful wife. However, when God showed His purpose for my life, it dawned on me that I needed more than a beautiful wife to handle it.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to discover the purpose for which You placed me and my spouse here on earth. Amen!

About this Plan
Too many people today do little or no preparation when it comes to marriage; instead focusing their energy on a one-day wedding event! The Bible says, "Two are better than one, for they have a better reward!" For these results and rewards to follow your marriage, there is a preparation phase before marriage because it is when preparation and opportunity meet together that destinies happen.
