Romans 8:28

DAY 3 OF 3

In Romans 8:31, Apostle Paul inquires, "What then shall we say to these things?” "These things", refer to various adversities such as tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, perils, and swords. He asserts “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

The statement "If God is for us, who can be against us?" underscores that when God is on our side, nothing and no one can successfully oppose or undermine the ultimate purpose that God has for us. It is a reminder of the immeasurable strength and sovereignty of God, and how this divine support ensures that believers can face any challenge with the confidence that they are not alone in their struggles.

Furthermore, in Romans 8:37, Apostle Paul writes - "In all these things (note - all things), we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

Paul's message here is that through the love of Christ, believers are not only able to overcome these adversities but to do so with a resounding victory. It is a proclamation of the immense power of Christ's love and the transformative impact it has on believers. This love empowers them to not just survive or endure difficulties but to thrive and emerge triumphant, no matter what they face.

In Romans 8:39, Apostle Paul expresses a profound confidence and assurance that nothing can separate him from the love of God in Christ Jesus. This statement reflects his unshakable faith and trust in God's unwavering love and grace, regardless of the circumstances or challenges he may encounter.

While we may not face the same hardships and trials as Paul, life presents its own set of challenges. As we navigate personal difficulties, we are encouraged to reflect on whether our faith is resolute enough to echo Paul's sentiment, affirming that nothing can separate us from God's love. This reflection can be an opportunity to deepen our faith and trust in God's enduring love, fostering a stronger and more unshakable connection with Him

Indeed, not all things may be good, but when God is part of the equation, "all things work for good.
