Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 11Намуна

Today’s chapter is 2 Thessalonians 1, and today’s verse of the day is:
2 Thessalonians 1:3: "We ought always and indeed are morally obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is fitting, because your faith is growing ever greater, and the [unselfish] love of each one of you toward one another is continually increasing."
From this Scripture, we learn two fundamental things that daily impact our lives:
1. Thanksgiving is a powerful weapon.
Both thanksgiving and acknowledging that God is at work change us. It helps us to experience God's faithfulness. This unlocks boldness and hope in our lives.
This becomes the weapon God uses to bring love into the lives of people.
The second fundamental thing we learn is that:
2. There is a link between perseverance and faith.
Even when the church faced persecution, there was a growth in everyone’s faith.
To persevere, you need to know God and who He is. This will empower you to press through the difficulties of this world.
We are not of this world.
Let us practice gratefulness towards God.
How often do we just give thanks and become aware of God's love and kindness in our lives?
How can we create opportunities for thankfulness in our lives?
