Not OkayНамуна
Rejection can come from a lot of different places . . .
You can be rejected by friends who decide they don't want to hang out with you anymore.
You can be rejected by a partner who decides it's time to break up.
You can be rejected by a sports team you try out for, a job or a college you apply to, or a scholarship you thought you'd get. And here's the thing . . . no matter where that rejection comes from, it always hurts. It doesn't get any easier. Rejection always feels personal. It's always hard to get over and move on.
No matter where that source of rejection is coming from, you can always take it to the same place. Peter writes in today's Bible reading that we can cast all our stress and worry on God. We might be in pain for a little while, but God promises to take our worries, stress, and, yes, even our rejection. That doesn't mean the pain will go away overnight. That's not how rejection works. But it does mean we don't have to go through it alone.
Peter has another good reminder in today's reading, too . . . we are not the only ones going through this! When we feel rejected, it's easy to feel alone. But the truth is, many people have gone through the same thing and eventually came out on the other side. It may not feel like it right now, but one day you will, too.

About this Plan
We'll look at four major stressors we all deal with and see how God's words can give us comfort, guidance, and help with each of them. We'll talk about what Jesus offers you when you're not okay, what God wants you to know when people reject you, what to do when it's not easy to do what's right, and when we feel worried, we'll see what God has to say.
