Beside Still Waters: 5 Days of Being StillНамуна

Feathers and Wings
We want to run and hide from many things in life, thinking that if we can run, the difficulty will surely be gone when we choose to come back. We run because of fear. We run because of anger. We run because of indifference. We run, hoping someone will chase us. Hoping someone will come and find us.
God knows. He knows you. You matter to him. You mean something to the Creator of your life. He is not beyond whatever you are facing today. He tells you to run to him and promises shelter and protection. He promises you that he will meet you in that place and give you peace. Run to him.
What a faithful father you are, God! I’m grateful to you for your love, protection, and shelter from all the things of this world that scare me. With you, I am safe. With you, I know I am loved no matter what I’m facing.

About this Plan

Just as the psalmist encountered, we can be overwhelmed by the circumstances of life. We run into situations that are frustrating and discouraging. But we also experience the peace and protection of our Creator, whose goodness isn’t dependent on our situation. The psalms are full of God’s unchanging love and faithfulness. Find the hope, joy, and peace that is abundant in God as you reflect the next 5 days.
