DAY 12 OF 14

WATER

Have you ever been so thirsty that you craved just a sip of water? Water is essential—it quenches our thirst, cleanses us, and rain is needed to give every living thing life. When we don't have water, we quickly know we need it. Jesus tells us that out of the Holy Spirit will flow rivers of living water. The Holy Spirit is the One who satisfies our spiritual thirst, our need to be cleansed from all impurity, and brings the outpouring of revival.

John 7:37-39 says, “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, ’If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’’ Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

He is the living water that we need! Scripture says this living water flows from the Holy Spirit. Likewise, Scripture also tells us in Ezekiel 47 that living water flows from God's throne. Wherever this living water goes, life flourishes! The Holy Spirit satisfies and sustains us by this living water because this water also cleanses us from all impurity.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 says, “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.”

The Holy Spirit makes you new. His water refreshes you and satisfies your thirst. Daily encountering God is where this water flows, out of His presence! If you need refreshment, if you are in a dry and parched place, ask the Holy Spirit to pour out on you. God promised that His Spirit would be poured out on ALL flesh (Joel 2:28-29/ Acts 2).

Pray: Holy Spirit, thank You for being living water that satisfies. In my encounter today, wash me with Your living Word. God, I ask for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Send Your revival rain to my life, my family, my city, and the Nations! Quench every dry and stagnant place. Only You satisfy, satisfy me!
