Different LifeНамуна

Jesus knows not many people are different. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it,” he says (Matt 7:13). That’s not all. He goes on to talk about true and false prophets (Matt 7:15), true and false disciples (Matt 7:21), and wise and foolish builders (Matt 7:24). All are about how people will confuse us and entice us to the not-different kind of life.
Let’s restate: it’s good to be different. Even if it’s weird. Even if it costs you. This different way of life pleases God. So walk the narrow road. Be different. Receive Jesus who will make you different. Believe in his name. And trust that his Spirit is alive in you. Strive towards being different in Jesus’s name.
Thanks for reading this plan. For the next several weeks, we’ll release a new five-day plan under the banner “Different Life” that focuses on a different kind of life using one of the 10 Commandments. We hope you’ll start each new plan with us!
About this Plan

Christians are different. They can’t help it. When you’re born again and filled with the Spirit, it changes you. This leads to different values about right and wrong, and a different lifestyle to match it. This series of 5-day plans uses the 10 Commandments (following the classic Augustinian ordering) as a vehicle for an alternative, Christ-like morality and Jesus-way of living.
