Shine - Light Dispels the DarknessНамуна

There is a story about a group of people who were stranded on an elevator. As soon as the elevator malfunctioned, it turned pitch black, and anguise arose. This particular incident took place back in the 80s when it wasn’t as simple as pulling out a cell phone and shining a light to calm the situation. Fortunately for them, one person in the elevator happened to have a pocket-size flashlight while they were searching their belongings. When the light was turned on, there was a calmness and assurance that the light was able to provide. By the end of their 45-minute ordeal, they were laughing together and singing songs.
As Christians, isn’t it reassuring to know that we have a Light that will shine regardless of our circumstances? We may not see it physically, but we have a Light we can turn to in darkness, in sadness, and when feeling anguish. On the flip side, we can also turn to the Light with praise, adoration, and gratitude.
There is a light that shines in us because of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Over the next few days, let’s examine how we can SHINE our light a little brighter.
