Being the Church in the WildНамуна
Embracing the Wilderness
The wilderness is a place of uncertainty, where we can feel lost and alone. But it's also a place where we can encounter God in a profound way. It's in the wilderness where God shapes us and prepares us for the mission he has for us. He forms us in the same wilderness He calls us to.
In Philippians 4:6-7, we are told not to be anxious for anything, to pray and present our requests to God. And the peace of God, that transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Jesus. While we’re here on mission, let’s remember that He’s given us resources to journey through the wilderness of our lives and the wilderness of the world.
Let's embrace the wilderness of the world, trusting that God is with us and that he has a purpose for us.
Questions:
- What fears or uncertainties am I holding onto that are preventing me from fully trusting God and embracing the wilderness season in my life?
- In what ways am I relying on my own strength and understanding instead of surrendering to God and allowing Him to lead me through the wilderness?
Action: Take time to reflect on and write down the areas of your life that feel like wilderness. Ask God to help you embrace them and use them to grow in your faith.
