Connecting With God Through Prayer

DAY 5 OF 5

Do you lose time when you pray?

It was the last day of my vacation, and I ventured to check my inbox briefly to see what was in store for me. Oh dear, I shouldn't have done that.

The planning started in my head immediately, along with the realization, "This can't all be done." After that, I could hardly enjoy the day, but fortunately, I opened not just my email but also my devotional book. There, on that very day, it said, "Seek the Lord and live…"!(Amos 5:6, NIV).

Do you also long for help with your many tasks? Do you also long to experience peace in your everyday life and not just rush through your days, hoping to get everything accomplished?

There's a way to achieve this, a wonderful way: the way of prayer. If you're like me, you might think, "Oh my, how will I have time to pray today, too?" I can tell you from my heart (and from experience by now, too): if you take time to pray, you will GAIN time in your life! :-)

It's true…if you desire a peace-filled life, one that's not controlled by stress, you need that quiet time of communication with Jesus.

You may think at first, "I'm losing time," but soon you'll realize that you gain so much as you spend time with God! His joy. His peace. His answers. His love. His help. His strength. His perseverance.

It's amazing! He cares so much about your prayers because He just wants to spend time with you. Yes, you! And in that moment, He won't take time away from you—He'll give you both time and life!

Try it out today! :-)

You are a miracle!

P.S. This is the final day of this plan. If you want to receive an encouraging email in your inbox every day, I invite you to subscribe to ‘A Miracle Every Day’.
