"Trying Again" After Miscarriage & Pregnancy LossНамуна
Day V: Faith & His Will
As you continue to work on a family with your spouse, find peace and courage to continue going each day in hope and putting works with faith. Me and my husband are currently working on having children. Do I find myself sometimes nervous? Of course, I don't want the same thing to happen again. But I want to at least try. I want to move forward, even if it is a mustard seed of faith. I want to put action with my faith.
What helped me recently on this journey was a message I heard at Grace Life Church in Mccalla, AL. The pastor, Joel Frederick, was reading from the story of Jesus coming in contact with two men possessed by demons.
Within the story, the demons speak in Matthew 8:29 and say, "...And behold, they cried out, "What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?"
The pastor focused on the portion where they stated, "....before the time." The two demons knew Jesus would eventually return, and they knew their eternal destination. The pastor then spoke on the fact that demons have complete faith it will happen and that even demons themselves understand who God is, what He can and will do, and aren't in doubt about it in any way.
This was very impactful for me. If the demons have faith in God, shouldn't we?
Do I have my moments of doubt creep up? Yes. But, each time, I remind myself, "They have faith in God; I should too, and even more."
Though it may not be easy sometimes, keep going. Keep trying. Keep praying. If it gets to a place where you feel God has a different plan for you or you should pause, don't feel wrong about this, and continue listening to your spirit. He has a plan for you. Whether motherhood is a part of that plan, He knows what He has in store for you. He is faithful. He loves you. He will grant the desires of your heart. Just be open to His way and His timing. His plans for you are good and will lack in nothing.
Reflection: How can you keep moving forward regardless of doubts that may creep up? Find something or someone that can keep you motivated and encouraged even on the hard days.
Was this plan helpful? If you want to spend more days with me on this journey, we adapted this Plan from the book, Conversations with God: After Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss. Visit https://chloemgooden.com/ministries/ for more information.
