Can You Imagine?Намуна
Praise
I’ll praise when I feel it
I’ll praise when I don’t
I’ll praise cause I know
You’re still in control
My praise is a weapon
It’s more than a sound
My praise is the shout
That brings Jericho down
God has a pattern of using unexpected people and methods to accomplish His purpose. He rarely works in a way we can predict.
The battle of Jericho in Joshua 6 is a classic example. God told Joshua to conquer an intimidating, walled city, and the weapons He told them to use were trumpets and voices. His method was marching. They looked more like a college marching band than an army. They were trained soldiers. They probably felt foolish. God was teaching them something important though — sometimes praise is an act of obedience and faith.
You won’t always feel like praising God. There will be seasons when it’s hard to see God at work and you’ll feel more discouraged than grateful. But praise isn’t just a feeling or response when you think of how good God has been to you. Praise is also a weapon.
Praise is how you fight for your perspective. Praise is how you take your imagination back from the enemy. Praise is how you inspire your faith and remember God’s faithfulness.
If you’re feeling defeated today, pick up your weapon — use your breath and praise Him.
About this Plan
Whether you’re new in your relationship or you’ve been walking with Jesus for a while, it’s easy for your faith to lose its sense of expectation. Maybe you used to believe God for big things, but you’ve been disappointed, and now you find yourself rationalizing why He won’t come through. It’s time to remember that your God still does miracles, and He wants to move in your life.
