Trapped in a New Body: A Plan for Pre-Teens & TeensНамуна
My mind is changing and I don’t like it!
Today, we’re going to be talking about how your mind changes as you become a teenager. It’s an important and sometimes challenging transition, but one that can be incredibly rewarding if navigated with grace.
As a teenager, it’s normal to start noticing things differently, including new perspectives and opinions. Chances are, you’ve also started to develop your own ideas and beliefs about the world and about yourself. This is a wonderful part of growing up, and it’s okay to not agree with everyone.
God loves when people take the time to think and create new things. He created the world and its infinite possibilities, so don't be afraid to explore the ones God has given you; even if they might make you stand out from the crowd. God will always secure you, and lead you in the right direction.
It can be scary sometimes to be different, but don’t worry — God will use you! He sees when we are trying our best, and He will never abandon us even if we stumble along the way.
So take a moment to consider the things you’ve been thinking about lately; the ideas about yourself, about other people, and about our world that have been slowly forming inside your mind. It’s ok to disagree with someone, or to try something new or unusual. You don’t need to conform or be like everyone else — God is looking for a generation of people who aren’t afraid to stand out.
