HIStory: A Six Week Study of the Gospel of JohnНамуна
"Who Is Jesus?"
I love how John describes Jesus to us in this passage. Jesus was more than just a man, good teacher, or religious leader. John describes Jesus as God in the flesh.
Think about this statement: “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” God created everything...including you! He made no mistake in this process. John is setting a foundation of who God is so we can build our faith and trust on Him.
How we see Jesus can affect how we see ourselves. It is easy to think that our successes or achievements are because of our skills or hard work. But when we realize that everything we have is because of Him, it changes our focus from us to Him.
How is Jesus described in this passage?
Why do you think John begins his gospel with this description of Jesus?
Take a moment to reflect on all that God has done for you and thank Him for blessing your life.

About this Plan
Jesus was more than just a figurative religious voice. He actually walked this earth as a man revealing to us the full nature of God. One of his best friends, John, took time to write down for us the account of his life, ministry, and teachings. This six-week study through the Gospel of John is not only history, but it’s also His Story.
