God is your refuge…even at night.

Very good! Your commitment to finishing this plan and sleeping better than ever is on track! These truths - taken together - are important keys to the peaceful sleep God designed for you.

The Bible speaks often of God being our refuge. So what exactly is a “refuge”? The Bible speaks of a refuge as a shelter or protection from danger or distress. Therefore, taking refuge in like finding a safe place during a storm, a fierce battle or receiving comfort in a time of trouble.

In Deuteronomy 33:27, scripture says: “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”

Think of this – God Himself is YOUR refuge! He who is all powerful, all knowing and ever present is your protection, your shelter, your provision and your safety in the midst of a dangerous, chaotic world. Not for someone else. Not for a perfect saint. For YOU. Regardless of what you are facing, let the Lord hold you securely right now.

Repeat this to yourself: “The eternal God is my refuge, and underneath me are His everlasting arms.”

The Bible reminds us that our Heavenly Father is the “King of kings and Lord of lords” so we can let go and relax because God is in control. So often we live lives of tension and stress because we want to control what we cannot control. Only by trusting this truth as truth can you truly relax in Christ. This is God’s will for you.

Say this to yourself: You, O Lord, are my loving Heavenly Father and all things are under your control.

Now repeat to yourself very slowly: You, O Lord are my loving Heavenly Father…. and all things…. are under your control.

Tomorrow you’ll finish this plan with the best session….and your best sleep!
