3 Prayers to Ward Off Panic

DAY 2 OF 3

Prayer 2: Let Your Strength Be Made Perfect In My Weakness

If you are fighting off panic, it's okay to be completely transparent with God. You should be vulnerable and transparent with Him always! He will still love you with 100% of His love, and sharing your heart with Him will help stabilize your emotions. This is simply called "casting your cares upon the Lord."

Our comforting Scripture today, 2 Corinthians 12:9, talks about how God's grace is sufficient for you because His strength is made perfect in your weakness. So, if you're swamped ...

If you have more things coming at you than you can handle ...

Then you are relatively weak compared to those stressors ... but God's strength will cover for you.

If you feel too overwhelmed to function, cast your cares upon the Lord by praying like this:

"Dear Heavenly Father, I have nothing to offer. I can't handle anything right now. Too many things are coming at me all at once, and I'm only one person. I need rest and help, and I'm panicking because I can't handle any of it. I don't even want to handle it anymore; it's too much.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, please help me. Come up under me in tangible ways, and let me feel Your everlasting arms. Manifest Your all-sufficient grace to me.

Lord, I pray that Your strength would be made perfect in my weakness. I may feel weak, but You are strong. Let Your grace be a tangible force in my life right now, I pray.

Thank You, Father God. In Jesus' name, amen."

After you pray, rest assured that the Lord will help you.

You may not know how it can possibly happen, but all that the Lord needs you to do will get done. He will help you. He will send you help from other people, move projects around, extend deadlines, calm you down, comfort you, and give you the motivation to handle your day ... and even help you enjoy it.

Rest in Jesus, beloved. Know that we can do nothing without Him ... but that He is with you always, even to the end of the world.
